The Burmilla
The Burmilla
The fabulous nature and good looks of the Burmilla is a result of their original breeding which was an accidental mating between a Burmese and a Chinchilla Persian occurring in England in 1981.
In 1994 a breeding program was established in Australia, using the same guidelines as the original English program and using only the highest quality Australian cats.

Burmilla's are indoor cats and show an even balance of affection/playfulness and independence. A cat well suited for busy families who like to relax in the evenings and weekends with a cat on their lap watching television.
Burmilla's adapt to many environments and lifestyles and can be very playful and entertaining even going on family trips and holidays, or attending boarding facilities (such as ours) enjoying their own holiday whilst the family are away.
Burke's Backyard Road Test
Our Burmilla cats have also featured in a road test on the Burke's Backyard TV program and also featured in the August 2004 Issue of Burke's Backyard Magazine. Click on the link to see the ' Fact Sheet' on the Burke's Backyard Website.
